Welcome to a new video...
...in today's episode I show you a delicious vegetarian recipe...
...today we gonna cook a Veggie Burger...
...without meat, but with a vegetable chickpea patty...
...for that peel an onion & chop finely...
...deseed a red pepper & cut into small pieces...
...also peel a clove of garlic & chop finely...
...then heat up a large pan adding a dash of oil...
...& once the oil is hot enough add onion, garlic & pepper...
...fry over medium heat for about 3 - 4 minutes, stirring occasionally...
...if thats done remove pan from stove, set aside & allow to cool...
...next drain 2 cans chickpeas & 1 can kidney beans over a colander...
...rinse with cold water...
...& transfer to a high container...
...next, mash with a blender until a sticky puree...
...thats what the puree should look like...
...if you can see whole beans or chickpeas here and there...
...no problem at all
...you can simply let it well enough alone...
...give the chickpea-bean-puree into a large mixing bowl...
...add pepper-onion-mixture...
...also 75 grams corn & green peas...
...1 egg...
...100 grams breadcrumbs...
...a teaspoon cumin & fennel seeds each...
...& a good pinch of salt & pepper...
...next, knead/mix with your hands...
...until everything is well distributed...
...if thats done we can shape the burger patties...
...the mixture should be enough for 8 patties...
...take some of the chickpea mass...
...form a ball between your palms...
...& flatten until you got an evenly thick patty...
...make sure the patties do not tear at the edges...
...thats what the patties should look like
...repeat that for the rest of the chickpea mass...
...after that set aside the done patties...
...and continue with the sauce...
...this is quite simple...
...give 125 grams sour cream, 125 grams yoghurt...
...½ tablespoon samba oelek, about 2 tablespoons ketchup...
...½ clove of pressed garlic...
...a teaspoon finely chopped dill, parsley & chives each...
...& a good pinch of salt & pepper...
...into a small bowl...
...and stir together with a spoon...
...then set aside until serving...
...now just cut ½ cucumber into thin slices...
...also cut 2 tomatoes into thin slices...
...& peel 1 red onion & cut into thin rings...
...now we prepared everything for the burgers...
...and simply have to coat the chickpea patties with breadcrumbs before frying...
...then heat up a large pan adding a good dash oil...
...once the oil is hot enough...
...give the chickpea patties into the pan...
...& fry over medium heat until golden brown for about 4 - 5 minutes each side...
...carefully turn once after 4 - 5 minutes...
...and fry until done on the other side...
...if thats done we can build up the burgers...
...for that halve the buns & slightly roast the cutting sides...

...now garnish the burger with a tablespoon sauce , a handful rocket...
...3 - 4 tomato slices...
...then the veggie patty...
...some cucumber slices...
...onion rings...
...and another tablespoon sauce...
...finally the bun upper half...
