Hey folks it is Barry here welcome to my virginkitchen, today we are making some right stonkers,
sorry about the grunt, it is necessary thoughas if we are playing tennis or something,
quinoa burgers, so, so good, over there isthe remains of me eating it looks like a murder
scene there is a knife and burger everywherebut I went R Kelly on it, I have to be honest
it was that good, and you can tweak it tooanyway you like.
So hit pause on the video now, those are theingredients, so hit pause on and they are
also in the description box down below, soshall we get on and make it, quinoa not key
noir, quinoa.First up cook your quinoa to package instructions
using boiling water bearing in mind the ingredientsI have given you that is the cooked weight
ok, so the actual amount that you pour init nearly trebled in weight by the end of
it so bare that in mind when you are makingit, and just let it cool down once all done
as you do not want hot quinoa in your burgersjust yet.
Whilst waiting for the quinoa to cool youcan do whatever you like really, I like to
dance and shimmy around my kitchen but thatis optional, once it is cool though just dump
the rest of the burger ingredients into thatbowl and just mix it all through until fully
combined all you want to do then is startto shape it into burger shape patties using
some baking paper there because it does geta little bit sticky you can use your hands
if you like but do that and mould it intonice big old patty shapes.
Sorry about that cheeky little nibble againthere, so good. We are going to fry up our
quinoa patties I had a frying pan with a littlebit of olive oil in there quite a shallow
amount and cooked it for around 4 or 5 minuteseither side until nice and golden brown, flipping
it and sticking it on kitchen paper once alldone. Now that give it quite a soft middle
which is what I like, but if you want moreof a firmer middle you should sit it more
deeper amounts of oil that will crisp it allthe way through and firm the middle too so
up to you, cook it and rest on kitchen paper.I decided to give the quinoa burgers a bit
of a mozzarella hood or a bonnet or a hat,so simply some fresh slices of mozzarella
straight on top of the burger, in the ovenfor ten minutes, to surround it, wait til
you see it when we build the burger, speakingof which we will do it right now, so grab
the base of the bun, on there I smeared onsome sweetcorn relish you can use any relish
you like, a good handful of rocket salad, some freshly cut beef tomatoes on there then
our quinoa patty with the mozzarella meltedtopping, a little more sweetcorn relish looking
so so good, and then the lid right on topof that.
That is the quinoa burger all done, shiverme timbers guys the flavour in there is so
stonking I had to have a little bit more,if you missed my last two videos click here
